README "region4" and "region7" are zip archives that each contain an "NHDSnapshot" folder that contains shapefiles for the Great Lakes watershed (region 4) and the Upper Mississippi River watershed (region 7). These files were downloaded from the following links, respectively [https://nhdplus.com/NHDPlus/NHDPlusV2_04.php](https://nhdplus.com/NHDPlus/NHDPlusV2_04.php) (region 4) [https://nhdplus.com/NHDPlus/NHDPlusV2_07.php](https://nhdplus.com/NHDPlus/NHDPlusV2_07.php) (region 7) Here's how they were downloaded: 1. Go to the desired link above. I'll use region 4 as an example here, but the process is exactly analogous for region 7. 2. You will see a table containing many different types of files for download, with buttons for either HTTP or FTP download. Select either HTTP or FTP for "NHDPlusV21_MS_04_NHDSnapshot_08.7z" to download a zip file. I used HTTP but I think either one will work. 3. Unzip the resulting zip archive. You will now have a folder called NHDPlusGL (for region 4––or NHDPlusMS for region 7). 4. Inside that folder will be another folder called NHDPlus04 (or NHDPlus07). I renamed those folders to "region4" and "region7", respectively, and uploaded them to this Figshare repository so the file paths in the project code would work.
